JBJTalks with Bishop SJ (Podcast)

Just over three months ago, I talked about music, macaroni and cheese, family, Drake, coaching, and so many other things with Timothy Bishop SJ: you may have read about it if you have been here for a while.

Yet, as you have seen in the absence of any recent posts, life has gotten a bit hectic.

However, this past weekend, I was fortunate enough to be part of a group of young Catholics who spent some intentional time together at a lake house outside of Houston.

Struggling to find my footing after traveling to Dallas with my lacrosse team and recovering from being sick, I nearly declined this chance.

In the course of the getting to know you talk, my blog came up, and I was reminded of the Grace that was the November to January near incessant vomiting of words in this digital space.

It's funny how we can make excuses for ourselves, yet it only takes one stranger, lacking the knowledge of our idiosyncrasies and habits, to shake our sleeping selves back to life.

Perhaps you have read about the 9-Hour Day with my dear friend Timothy Bishop!

A Jesuit scholastic, teacher, coach, and musician, Timothy Bishop wears many hats, yet his hats never seem to be the focus.

I have shared various meals with Timothy, and though he will carry on in deep laughter with other co-workers, he remains focused on interacting with others in a way that allows them to know they are loved. His jokes, his attention, his focus, his excitement, it is all focused on you. Only in interviewing Bishop SJ for a podcast did Timothy find himself as the focal point of conversation.

So, without further ado, I am JBJ and this is the first Episode of JBJTalks: With Bishop SJ.
